Terms of Service

Rules for using Requset—workspaces, customer data, plans, AI features, and liability.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of Requset's websites, web application, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). Requset is operated from Sri Lanka and offered to customers worldwide. We provide a workspace-based platform for internal request intake, templates, approval workflows, collaboration features, and optional AI-assisted tools (with AI inference delivered via Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Foundry as described in our Subprocessors disclosure). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" includes that organization.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction. You may not use the Service if prohibited by applicable law or if you are in a jurisdiction subject to comprehensive sanctions. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with laws that apply to your industry and data (for example employment, healthcare, or financial rules).

2. Accounts and security

Provide accurate registration information and keep it current. You are responsible for safeguarding credentials and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly of unauthorized access. Workspace owners and admins control invitations, roles, and certain settings for their workspace.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. Without limitation, you must not:

  • Violate law, infringe others' rights, or submit unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or discriminatory content.
  • Probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities; bypass security; interfere with the Service; or access data or accounts without authorization.
  • Reverse engineer the Service except where mandatory law allows; copy the Service except as permitted in writing.
  • Send spam, overload infrastructure, or automate access in a way that impairs the Service (including circumventing rate limits).
  • Use AI features to generate unlawful content or to mislead others; you remain responsible for reviewing AI outputs before reliance.

4. Customer data and privacy

"Customer Data" means data you or your users submit to the Service—including profile information, workspace configuration, templates, requests, comments, attachments, and similar content. You retain ownership of Customer Data. We process it to provide, secure, and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy and our Subprocessors page. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display Customer Data only as needed to operate the Service.

5. Security

We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect Customer Data. No online service is perfectly secure; you use the Service understanding residual risk remains.

6. Intellectual property

Requset and its licensors own the Service, including software, visual design, documentation, and trademarks. Except for the limited rights these Terms grant, no rights are transferred to you. Feedback you provide may be used without obligation to you.

7. Plans, fees, and billing

The Service may include a free tier and paid plans billed per seat or as otherwise shown at checkout. Fees are processed by our payment partner (currently Polar, subject to change with notice). By subscribing, you authorize us and our payment processor to charge your payment method for applicable fees and taxes. Subscriptions may renew automatically until you cancel according to in-product billing controls. Except where law requires otherwise, fees are non-refundable. Downgrades may reduce features or limits (templates, storage, AI allowances, etc.) per the plan in effect.

8. Free tier, previews, and beta

Free and preview features may change or end. Beta or experimental functionality is provided as-is, may be unstable, and may be modified or withdrawn without liability.

9. Term and termination

These Terms apply while you use the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach, risk to the Service or others, or non-payment where applicable. Provisions that should survive (including IP, disclaimers, liability limits, and indemnity) survive termination.

10. Service changes and availability

We may modify features, limits, or the Service as we develop the product. We aim for reliable operation but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, outages, and events outside our control may cause downtime. Unless a separate written agreement specifies otherwise, no service credits apply.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED OR THAT AI OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM (OR, IF NONE, ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100)).

13. Indemnification

You will defend and indemnify Requset against claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from Customer Data, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

14. Confidentiality

Each party may receive non-public information from the other. The receiving party will use reasonable care to protect it and use it only for purposes of these Terms. Exclusions include information that is public, already known, independently developed, or rightfully received from a third party.

15. Compliance and export

You are responsible for compliance with laws applicable to your use, including data protection, export control, and sanctions. You will not use the Service in violation of those laws.

16. Third-party services

The Service relies on subprocessors and integrations (for example authentication, hosting, email, billing, analytics, and AI services on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Foundry). Their use is described on our Subprocessors page and in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for third-party services you connect or for their terms; your relationship with those vendors is separate.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the revised Terms and update the "Last updated" date. If a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice (for example email or in-product notice). Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance unless law requires a different process.

18. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer or data protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise. Subject to those mandatory rules, you agree that the courts of Sri Lanka have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service, and you submit to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
